We’ve told you all the things we loved from #BigBadWolfMNL2019, but if you needed more convincing that the visit to BBW is for the family, here are four reasons to take your children to the biggest book sale of the year yet!
1. Picture Books
While there’s an abundance of picture books in the market, both produced locally and abroad, I think we can all agree that unless you have specific ones in mind, they’re pretty difficult to find. All the big book retailers have different store sizes and available stocks for books in the genre, making it difficult to find a wide array of picture books.

2. Rick Riordan
Riordan’s Percy Jackson is one of the most popular children’s book series in the market, and it’s to be expected that a lot of BBW-goers come in search for the series. The sale does in fact have a Percy Jackson book set sold at P1150 (for all 6 books!) but since 120 sets isn’t enough for all the fans, BBW has turned it into a contest auction.
As for fans who already have copies of the original series, BBW also has an entire section dedicated to Riordan’s books. The copies and titles are limited for sure (the rarer ones are unfortunately and predictably sold out), but for the price of P230 for hardbound copies of these books, they’re a steal!
3. Additional Items
Big Bad Wolf sells more than books. It sells experience and education. Get a chance to get solid deals on room accessories like puzzle mats and additional reference books for your child, like these adorable math books! Gone are the days where encyclopedias were imperative for your child to learn additional information, but that doesn’t mean we should stop buying them educational materials that’ll get their interests piqued!
4. The Discounts & Free Membership
The best thing about the sale? The price drops are for real. Hardbound book prices range from around P200-P400. Most book sets are sold at less than P1500! (An Artemis Fowl book set of 7 only costs P1350.) And, as a member, you can get a chance to pay even less than the discounted price. (Meyer’s hardbound copy of The Chemist is sold at P230 for the regular price, and P190 for member’s price.)
