With more than 7,100 islands, the Philippines is home to some of the world’s most beautiful islands that every tourist should visit and explore. From white sand beaches, surfing and diving spots, to breathtaking views, there are many islands in the regions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao that tourists can choose from. Here are some of the islands in the Philippines that should be included in your next visit to the country:
5. Cebu
Cebu has a lot to offer tourists, from beautiful beaches to historic landmarks to great food. They may choose different destinations from the North and South of the island, which includes Camotes Island, Bantayan Island, Malapascua, Moalboal, and Mactan. These destinations not only offer picturesque views, but also several activities for the more adventurous like canyoneering, whitewater rafting, and diving.
4. Hundred Islands, Pangasinan
For those who wish to go island hopping, one of the best places to do it in the Philippines is in Hundred Islands in Pangasinan. The Hundred Islands National Park is the country’s first national park and is a protected area, giving tourists access to some of the 124 islands in the area, such as Marcos Island, Ramos Island, Hernandez Island, and Turtle Island. Some of the activities that tourists can enjoy on the islands include snorkeling, kayaking, ziplining, parasailing, and cliff diving.
3. Siargao
Over the years, Siargao has earned a reputation as the country’s surfing capital, and for good reason. There are many spots on the island that are ideal for surfers to improve their surfing skills or test themselves against the best, such as Cloud 9. However, there are other activities to do such as island hopping on nearby areas like Naked Island, Guyam Island, and Daku Island.
2. Boracay
This island is no stranger to lists of the world’s best islands, and there’s always something new for tourists to see and do whenever they visit. Known for its white sands, stunning views, and gorgeous sunset, there are many places for people to visit on the island, such as Puka Beach, Magic Island, and Crocodile Island. Activities that people can do on the island also include scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, and parasailing, among others.

Palawan is another fixture on the list of the world’s best islands, and there are plenty of choices for those who wish to visit. Tourists can visit El Nido, which not only has white, powdery sand, but also imposing limestone formations, and clear, blue lagoons. Coron, meanwhile, has one of the clearest bodies of water in the country, Kayangan Lake. And finally, the coastal city of Puerto Princesa contains the world-famous Underground River, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
