“Good morning.”
“How was your day?”
“I just wanted to hear your voice.”
Expressing love isn’t confined to saying “I love you.” In fact, you don’t even have to say those three words at all. Listen carefully. Each day, people around us speak of love more often than we realize. Some are more creative, while others – those who find it hard to say these words – are more subtle about it.
Here are other different everyday statements you don’t normally recognize but tell you someone loves and cares for you:
It doesn’t even have to be formal. Saying “I love you” can be as crazy as my friend puts it, “sa’yo na ang balat ng Chicken Joy ko.” Won’t you get all fuzzy inside hearing someone is willing to sacrifice something they value just to see you happy?
Love can be said even in the simplest manner. Here are some of your silly yet thoughtful ordinary day expressions of love:
- Do you want me to accompany you in your overtime work?
- Let’s go out. My treat.
- Extra rice?
- I’ll help you with your homework.
- Here’s my Netflix password.
- I will edit your selfie before I upload it.
- Did you see that meme I tagged you in?
- I got you pasalubong!
- Have you seen Justice League? No? Okay, I won’t spoil the most important part of the film.
Try to let the significant people in your life know how you really feel whether it’s through a funny statement or a simple message of appreciation. Love is expressed in different ways and most definitely goes a long way when given often.
How would you say I love you on an ordinary day? Tell us in the comments!
