In June 2018, Senator Risa Hontiveros announced that the President has finally signed into law RA 11036, otherwise known as the Philippine Mental Health Law. Although this may be a landmark step towards better mental healthcare in the Philippines, there is still much to be done. Here’s a bird’s-eye view of the state of mental health in the Philippines:
